SSOCC Heron Out of School Care (located at Cambie and 5 road in Richmond) is seeking an RA/ECEA or ECE for our new After School Care Program.

This position is 5 days a week, with typical work hours being 2:30 - 6:30 or 3:00 - 7:00; professional development days and spring break / summer daycamps run 8:00 - 4:30.

Responsible Adult - $18.78
ECE Assistant - $21.31/hr
ECE/SNE - $32.30/hr (including WE) 
ITE - 33.40/hr (including WE)

Essential Qualifications

-Previous experience working with School-Aged Children

‒ Current First Aid Qualification CPR-C

‒ Pass and Maintain a Criminal Record Search with vulnerable sector at all times during employment.

-Must be able to lift 40 pounds

-Strong spoken and written English

-A second language is an asset but not required

-If applying as a responsible adult, you must be at least 19 years of age, as per the BC Child Care Licensing Regulations

Responsible Adult - $18.78
ECE Assistant - $21.31/hr

Extended health and dental benefits, professional development, sick leave and 7% vacation provided as per SSOCC contract.  A minimum of 30/hours per week must be maintained for extended benefit eligibility.  This job is currently posted at 20 hours a week, but additional hours may be available in September 2025.
