This project was led by 91×ÊÔ´in partnership with Social Research and Demonstration Corporation (SRDC) with funding from Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE). BC Metis Nation, 91×ÊÔ´leadership alumni, and core partners provided insights and guidance to the program throughout the two years.
The Early Childhood Educators in the program were engaged in conversations of change between May 2022 and October 2023. Participants engaged in a monthly online community of practice session focused on skills, topics, and tools for effective change management. They also connected regularly within small peer cohorts and benefited from regular reflective practice and knowledge sharing sessions with guest speakers and knowledge keepers. Each of the Leading Change participants activated a local community change project, based on a topic relevant to the sector, that they felt personally connected to.
