Human Rights In The Workplace Justice Education Society

In partnership with Métis Nation BC, 91×ÊÔ´in excited to host this FREE online workshop series. Registration is required.
This free workshop series provides additional opportunities to support incorporating Métis specific teachings within early learning programming, promoting learning environments in which Métis culture is recognized and celebrated. Registration includes all three sessions.
- Session 1: Wed. Feb 5th 2025 6:30pm to 8:30pm
This session provides a brief foundational overview of who the Métis are and why it is important to include Métis content and pedagogy in early childhood education. - Session 2: Wed. Feb 12th 2025 6:30pm to 8:30pm
This session introduces the Métis core values related to learning. In addition, it addresses the concept of cultural safety while providing strategies on how to create a culturally safe learning environment supporting the well-being of children. - Session 3: Wed. Feb 19th 2025 6:30pm to 8:30pm
This session provides information on how to use the Aansaamb aen kiskayhtaamaahk cultural resources. It includes a description of the resources and suggested opportunities for learning and investigation.
